Anna and Erik’s winter engagement session in downtown Blowing Rock had to be the chilliest engagement session to date. It was around 0 degrees and WINDY. Our original plan was to shoot at the Moses Cone Memorial Park, but when the entrance on the Blue Ridge Parkway shut down due to weather, we made a last minute plan. So instead, we decided to shoot at several locations throughout downtown! They were both SUCH troopers through the cold and wind and we got some gorgeous images, even with the last minute change in plans!
We started off at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian then went across the street to St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal. Both are gorgeous church’s with beautiful stone wall exterior. I especially loved St. Mary of the Hill’s bright red doors. They both made great backdrops for the beginning of our shoot. We then worked our way down Main St. taking photos along the way.
Both Anna and Erik seemed so comfortable in front of the camera and made shooting together feel effortless. You could tell they really just love spending time together, even if it is taking photos in negative temperatures. We had a great time exploring and getting to know each other a bit better.
