Katie and Tristan really leaned into the Christmas theme with their wedding at VanLandingham Estate this past winter. VanLandingham already had a few Christmas trees and lights up and Katie and Tristan brought in more to really bring the vibe to life. The Christmas lights ended up being perfect with the moody, overcast day we had.
Katie and Tristan enjoyed a relaxing morning getting ready on-site at VanLandingham in separate Bridal suites. I love that VanLandingham’s bridal suite is bright with neutral colored walls and lots of natural light.
Katie and Tristan decided to do a first look before heading over to their ceremony at St. Peters in Uptown. The read each other their private vows and had a really intimate, sweet moment before the craziness of the day took over.
Their ceremony was reverent and beautiful, as they always are at St. Peters. After the ceremony we did family photos inside the church, then headed back to VanLandingham for wedding party portraits and bridal portraits. Thankfully the rain held off so we were able to get them outside.
Cocktail hour was held inside the beautiful, Craftsman style estate. Their signature drink was a “The Dakota” (a mistletoe mojito) named after their pup, Dakota!
Their reception space was adorned with Christmas trees and gorgeous centerpieces with greenery and white florals. They also had these beautiful modern gold rectangular lanterns hung with drapery that gave the design an elegant feel.
Katie and Tristan did a choreographed first dance that had us all cheering. Each of the toasts were so thoughtful and funny and you can tell their best man and maid of honor put a lot of consideration into them.
Split Second Sound really brought the party and not a single person was left off the dance floor. The whole day was so special and cozy and I truly enjoyed getting to be a part of it!
